NITRIMORE TECHNOLOGY
“Nitrimore”, a patented technology offering an enhanced nitrification, improving a wastewater treatment plants discharge levels of nitrogen and phosphorous. This in turn results in better performance and added cost savings through the removal of biological nutrients. Developed by Dr. Peter Stroot, one of Wet Tech Environmental’s associate team members, Peter holds 12 patents related to biological treatment of wastewater.
This technology enhances the nitrification process, improving the plants reduction of nitrogen and phosphorous. This improves discharge compliance TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) limits, which are more frequently becoming lowered and monitored by the EPA. High discharges of nitrogen and phosphorous has been a concern for years in both the wastewater and engineering community, when not controlled, cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) and a host of other environmental concerns are more present.
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), a method which was used to evaluate the four major types of nitrifying bacteria in freshly settled sludge, provided valuable input into the development of the Nitrimore technology.
Wet Tech Environmental possesses the ability to implement this process so that wastewater treatment facilities can benefit from this technology. For more information about our wastewater treatment technology contact us today.
